Our faculty provides students with a solid foundation of media history while leading the way in traditional and emerging fields. Our Dean, Gary P. Kolb, began his 30th year at SIUC this fall.

The Global Media Research Center hosts visiting postdoctoral fellows as well as a regular speakers series and screening series. The MCMA staff produces video podcasts of most GMRC events and these play a large part of the SIUC on iTunes U content.

To see upcoming MCMA and GMRC events and well as other presentations and workshops, view our calendars. At our news area you can read about MCMA events, faculty and student awards, and also read news from the University, the Daily Egyptian, or the WSIU newsroom .
