Inside newsrooms, media-equipped classrooms, computer and technology laboratories, a soundstage, production studios, resource centers, and broadcast facilities, students can receive hands-on experience in professional media environments.
The New Media Center (NMC) is a unique facility on campus. It represents a working partnership between the College and Information Technology embodied in the combination of an open access Computer Learning Center (CLC4) with dedicated classrooms/labs specifically designed to meet the needs of faculty, staff, and students engaged in producing digital media.
The New Media Center supports the research, teaching, and service activities of the College and University and has been a member of the international New Media Consortium since 1995.
The College of Mass Communication and Media Arts currently has several equipment checkout locations and those include the Journalism front desk, Cinema checkout, Photography Lab Equipment Checkout Room, and Radio-Television checkout.
