Ph.D. candidates Amit Kumar and Adam Davis’ screenplay, “Blemished Light”, won first prize in the Faculty Screenplay Competition at UFVA Conference. This was written during an independent study with Professor Motyl and who continues to consult on it.


The MFA collective Emerge has an exhibition of their work at Las Manos Gallery in Chicago. The collective was formed by students to produce new opportunities for exhibitions, under the advisement of MFA faculty HD Motyl. The Chicago show has been generously supported by the MCMA Dean’s Office.
