CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Just weeks after its theatrical release, you can view a fall blockbuster science fiction thriller at Southern Illinois University Carbondale at a bargain price.
Showings of “District 9,” the popular Neill Blomkamp action film about an extraterrestrial colony on planet Earth, are set for 7 p.m. Nov. 5 and at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Nov. 6 and 7. All showings are in the auditorium on the second floor of the Student Center.
The general public can get in for $3. Admission is just $2 for SIUC students with valid identification. Debit Dawg payment is acceptable at all showings. The movie carries an “R” rating.
This movie is the last of the Student Programming Council Films Committee’s fall schedule. The group will again be offering blockbuster films at low prices during spring 2010.
